url encoding characters %09

I'm getting regular entries in my logs indicating that a number of both users and bots are entering my site via a url which has the encoding character %09 at the beginning, eg: '%09http://www.domain.fu'

I know %09 represents tab but am unsure what to search for in my html in order to track down what may be causing this.

Any advice appreciated and my apologies in advance if this is not the correct forum in which to post this, I was not sure where to do so.

Thank you.

I found the answer to this in case anyone else comes across it.

In the Parked Domain section of cPanel, I had pasted in the url to which I wanted the domain to point, but had inadvertently copied a 'tab' prior to the domain name, causing the %09 code.
