Can anyone give me some direction about how to go about getting PHP to work on windows 7? I have the home premium version - is it even possible?

Apache installed fine and localhost told me it was working. I've tried the PHP windows installer but it only seems interested in windows servers like IIS. It doesn't seem to want to latch on to Apache.

I've done a few hours of searching and looking at the PHP site, but that's only made me think I must be thick or they must be out of date. I'm not ruling out the idea that I've missed a biggie somewhere and it's not possible to install on my system so I'm just getting the spam pages when I try to find out how to do it.

Any pointers much appreciated.

Forget that for a second - the comments on [php.net...] are handy especially the one from 7th Feb 2011

A restart of apache was also handy.

I'll post back with anything else if it doesn't work.
