Jim's last post on October 29th.
In his absence this forum barely crawls.

Hope all is well?

Both Jim (jdmorgan) and g1smd make dedicated contributions here.

Unfortunately, newcomers present, basically the same questions that are answered either daily or weekly and their task becomes tiresome.

All newcomers should acquire to capability to utilize all the tools at Webmaster World and specifically this forum.

The forum charter [webmasterworld.com], provides that rather, than providing copy and paste materials, the object of the forum is to allow folks to learn syntax.

The forum library [webmasterworld.com], contains a wealth of information which was amassed to provide answers for requests that are submitted here both daily, and over, and over, again.

Searching the archives [webmasterworld.com] of Webmaster World, will provide and answer to most any syntax issue.

Searching Webmaster World Archives using Google [google.com]

Perhaps somebody else may assist?
There use to be a page at Webmaster World, which offered the html for using all the searching engines and to search the Webmaster World archives?

I have been trying to pitch in when I have time.

But part of what makes this forum good is that the moderators hold the people asking questions to a higher standard. It's not a substitute for doing the real work of figuring out what the heck you're doing.

So for those of us who have been around, I suggest we get comfortable letting people whose questions are insufficiently researched to do their homework so those of us who might be able to provide an answer can spend time working with the people who put in the effort.

I had been on holiday for several weeks (but managed to find wi-fi access some days), then fell ill the day after getting back home. Despite feeling completely out of it, I've tried to call in for at least a few minutes most days.

Jim has had to step away from the forum for a week or two to take care of other, more pressing, business. I was made aware of that while I was away on holiday. He'll be back.

With that, I am off back to bed.

I'll try to do my best while the true rock stars are away.
