IP address of the Apache server

now I monitoring the network in company and I use mrtg. apache are one of the application that i should install. when downloading was working, I need to put full DNS name of the server. what is the full DNS name of the server.can anyone explain to me? what should i fill in that blank if i don't have the full DNS name of the server?

I know nothing of this network monitor, but if you do not have a "domain" for this server, then try putting its IP address in that field. I'm also not sure whether you should use the local address (like 127.0.0.1) or the LAN address (like 192.168.0.1) or the WAN address (the one used by the public to reach this server, like 60.51.200.100).

We are not likely to have many people here who use that specific network monitor program. Therefore, you might want to ask this question on the software provider's Web site -- in their forum or "help" section.

Also, I was able to find some good basic information by doing a search on Google for the quoted string "mrtg how to".
