i'm currently using a dynamic ip, through a router. I want to have a static ip online so i've choosen to use no-ip. i've set up everything already but now i can't patch my apache server up to no-ip.

I've heard that i need to port forward in my router which i already did. using 80 and 8080.

What did i do wrong? i still can't access to program through no-ip..

please help thanks

There is probably a firewall preventing the webserver from being seen from the outside.

Check to see that you can see the webserver on the network and then check to see if you can open port 80 to the outside. It is also possible that your isp is blocking access.

also try to ping your no-ip name and see what the host ip# and try that.

victortlx,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

You may find the tutorial and FAQ sections on the D-Link site to be helpful in setting up your router's port forwarding. Because there are many different router models, the chances that someone here can help you with your specific model is small.
