.htaccess ... if you block your own IP can you del via FTP?

If you block your own IP (even though a quick reset via pulling the power cord will typically change your IP) via htaccess can you access and delete/overwrite your htaccess via FTP? I'd imagine so but I prefer to learn from observation and not experience! ^.^

Yes you can FTP to your server while your own IP is blocked in .htaccess. I have a unique IP and banned myself often enough to test things.

On my first try with .htaccess I crashed my whole site.
I immediately FTPed up a black file and all was well. -Larry

Cool, thanks for the response folks. Yeah I've had some mistakes in my htaccess before myself.
