installing apache services

i have a problem installing apache 2.0.54 in windows xp. it goes through the motions of installing, but when the command window pops up, it shows a message reading:
<os 10022>An invalid argument was supplied. :make_sock: unable to listen for connections on address 0.0.0.0:80
no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs

then another one comes up saying:
[Thu Jul 21 11:20:19 2005] [error] <OS2>The system cannot find the file specified. :No installed service named "Apache2".

i have tried to install when both on and off the internet, and with the antivirus/firewall both on and off, but nothing makes any difference. please help!

Could there be something else on port 80? Try accessing [127.0.0.1...] from your browser.
