hi friends,
I am using hosting with cpanel/WHM and cent os . I am running a site named <snip>.I have created 4 sub-domains.
<snip> <snip><snip><snip>
my problem is that my site and sub domains are not opening if I use "obtain dns server address automatically" in my pc network setting
but when i changed the network setting in my computer to preferred dns:208.67.220.220(i.e. open dns) all this domains are working fine. I have 1000 client ,so i will not able to tell this to everyone.Do i need to do some changes in the .htaccess file.
Please tell me the solution for this.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Pritesh, and welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Since your subdomains work when using OpenDNS, we can presume that you have correctly set up the DNS for these virtual hosts. However, if you only recently defined these new sub-domains, it may take anywhere from four hours to four days for all DNS servers world-wide to get updated.

When you use the "obtain DNS automatically" setting, it is generally your ISP's DNS servers that you end up using, and these may not have been updated yet.

So unless your new subdomains' DNS records have been defined for several days, the solution may simply be to wait -- There's nothing in .htaccess that can help with DNS problems.
