Scenario: I am not using primary domain. I have alias the domain with Subdirectory
Requirement: we are trying to install WordPress MU which create blog in sub domain fashion. Ex. Rajesh.example.com. So we need support for WordPress MU.

Reference: I have followed the link to do required modification so my wordPress mu can be installed successfully
[help.godaddy.com...]
<snip>
Domain Modification: As per the above link, I have done changes, Please refer for attached image.

WordPress Installation:
But I got following message end of wordpress installation.
To use the subdomain feature of WordPress MU you must have a wildcard entry in your dns. The installer attempted to contact a random hostname <snip> on your domain but failed. It returned this error message:
From the README.txt:
If you want to host blogs of the form http://blog.example.com where example.tld is the domain name of your machine then you must add a wildcard record to your DNS records.
This usually means adding a '*' hostname record pointing at your webserver in your DNS configuration tool. Matt has a more detailed explanation on his blog. If you still have problems, these forum messages may help.

Expected Result: I should be able to create blog in such fashion http://example.example.com/

I hope I am clear with expected result and looking for solution from godaddy.

Did you a wild-card DNS entry in your DNS Zone file or not?

If not, then "blog.example.com" will not resolve to your server, and no-one will be able to access that subdomain.

Yes, having a dedicated IP is what allows you to 'point' unlimited domains and subdomains to your server.

This is then an "IP-based" shared server, not a "name-based" shared server, so in this way you avoid having to 'declare' each and every domain and subdomain (or wild-card) in the server configuration.
