My machine is XP with Apache2.2.14

I have to disable the window internet firewall and McAfee internet firewall to get my website available in internet.

Is it safe to do this?

My McAfee virusScan version is 13.15, it does not give me a choice(I could not find) to just open port 80. I went into the "SecurityCenter" of McAfee, then "Internet&Network", then "configure", then click "off" on the Firewall protection. The website works.

If I go in "advanced" and just click "Allow Full Access" only(while the firewall protection in above mentioned is "on"). The website access does not work.

Any idea to just turn on port 80 on my McAfee version?
any idea on whether my computer is safe on instrusion?

No, it's not safe to disable the firewall... singular. Especially if you run a server.

You should only use one firewall, or you may have stability issues.

Find out how to allow port 80 on HTTP only, and leave all other blocking rules alone (enabled). If you need detailed help, I'd suggest the McAfee support pages or forum (if they have one).

Jim,

Thanks for the comment.

I have gone in forums with McAfee features and found only comments on older versions. Those versions can have selectively port 80 disabled on firewall. My version (virusScan13.15) does not have (I could not find) selective port option.

Well, to be exact, I need port 443 firewall disable too.
