But customer's bane is during night time, when they browse the website from page to page - very slow, hang, click twice to load the page - showing load average 2.0-4.0.
Anyone got any ideas on ways how to maintain a should be load average? or how to avoid sudden rise of load average? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
1) Your server is scheduled for backup jobs during the day, and at approximately at your minimum-traffic time.
2) The network segment on which your server is located will not be used for backup traffic during your peak-traffic time. (In other words, if they are doing the backup over the network instead of using a local disk, then your network may get bogged down because *other* servers are being backed-up using that network segment/switch/router when your traffic is peaking).
Anyway, the bottom line is "Talk to the host."
