.htaccess not working for my blog installed in subfolder

Hi to All,

Basically i am an SEO person, i have a website for my company hosted in GoDaddy Apache server. Now i have installed a blog for my website under a subfolder (e.g. www.domain.com/blog). While i use permalinks options in my wordpress admin, that dosen't work for me.

In Wordpress admin there is an option to change permalink structure to our own sturcture.

I have changed the default option to the third option i.e. "Month and name e.g. [domain.com...] But while i check the link URL in my blog it shows the structure which i have chosen but when i navigate into that link it displays 404 not found error and redirects to my custom 404 page.

Do you have any idea, please suggest me.
