dist-upgrade?

Will it remove my apache-webserver?

Hi!

I'm running an Apache 1.3.26 webserver on my non-GUI Debian.

When running command 'apt-get dist-upgrade' it will remove 'apache' and 'apache-common', and install 'apache2-utils'...

Is this an upgrade to apache 2 or will it remove my webserver?

It is an "upgrade" to Apache 2 which is the new default web server for Debian Sarge. However Apache 1.3.33 (I think) is available to so you might well want to stay with that version.

One important point: according to the Debian Sarge release notes, you should not attempt to move from Woody to Sarge with

apt-get dist-upgrade
. You should use Aptitude from Sarge. All the details are here:
