As a noob, I spent hours trying to wade through the world for .htaccess files and redirects only to be totally frustrated-- I kept getting domain.com/domain.com returned in my browser window, I couldn't get domain.com/index.html to go to domain.com. No forums had anything on point to help me. Luckily, I found a blog entry that HOOKED IT UP! Apparently this guy has no clue what he's doing and once he figures it out he writes it in a way that would've helped him before he had to slog around dozens of websites to piece together a solution.
