Hello,

I'm running a server on localhost and every now and then (not always) it takes 5-6 seconds to load the page. There are like a hundred connected users to my server. What could possibly be causing this?

I'm on apache2.2 and php5.2.6 and the pages are dynamic. Any idea?

Thnx

It's likely we'll need a lot more info to help with this:

What OS are you running?
Are these users accessing via your intranet, or via the internet through a router?
Are you using a firewall?
Are you running a private DNS server within your LAN?

I switched to IIS7 and it's working great. No problem so far with increased number of users. But I'd like to know what the problem was (if I switch back to apache)...

If you have more questions, let me know.

FYI, I'm on a quad core, 2gb ram server.
