1) How do I limit number of lines or filesize of Apache's access and error log? 2) What is access_log.processed? Can I delete it?

i believe the .processed file is a product of plesk server administrator and there is probably a way to rotate your log files in the control panel. typically you should rotate log files daily or weekly depending on server load. there may be a way to rotate by size rather than time and you should be able to specify the number of generations kept.
