ftp upload corruption?

i have a strange problem. I use wftp_pro to upload a site to an apache server. Its the combination of sync uploads with filters applied that make it the only program ive found to be able to do exactly what i want.
So heres the problem on a dedicated server i keep getting 0kb files. It can be images and/or html files. I can upload the same site to other servers with no problems but on this one server i keep getting the odd okb files and if i dont pick them up then they can get indexed that way. The host says its a problem with the ftp program yet it only happens on this one server. I understand this can happen if the program cant determine the correct mode for upload. I have it set to auto as images and normal files get uploaded at the same time. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Tx.

Whenever that's happened to me, it was a result of hitting the allotted disk space quote. I don't know that it's always because of that, but in my experience it has always been because of that.

But is it possible the site you're uploading the files for has a quota in place? I too have a dedi with many free gigs, and I've experienced that problem when the individual site had hit its quota.

no theres just one site on the server and it has no quota, just the whole drive.

Well, then that's probably not it.

Can you tail -f your ftp log while uploading a file, and see what the log says is happening?

well doesn't happen in manual uploads. Its just using the sync tool. The log created just says the name of the file to be uploaded and no fails. The thing is its overwriting a file that already exists. So not sue how it rewrites a file with no data. If the upload failed id have thought the old file/version would still be in place.

I had this with one site when using FTP Explorer and changed to Core FTP Lite and the problem went away.

Core FTP Lite
does this version allow filters, i don't see how you add filters or turn them on in this lite version.

Hi g1smd.
Yes i was just wanting to try it out but need to place filters before i can do a full upload. Its a large and complicated upload to do manually.
