It started happening on a few sites hosted on one server. There's a warning now about downloading files when accessing the pages.
What could cause that to happen all of a sudden, and do the sites just have to be moved elsewhere?

Finally found what it was and got it fixed. They made a PHP change on Jan. 21st which caused a problem with addhandler for php on html pages so it needed a change made in htaccess. No notice, I just happened to check the sites - ouch!
Added: This happened on 3 out of 4 sites on that hosting (a reseller account), but didn't affect the 4th one at all. I find that very peculiar.

Depends on the admin that set up each server :)
Also, shared hosting providers use multiple servers so your other site that remained the same may not have even been on a server that was changed.
Just some thoughts. Ah, the joys of shared hosting!
