i am currently using mod_rewrite for changing my dynamic url's to static url's .now i have changed the rewrite rule so the urls have changed.so the prevoius url which are indexed in search engines and are bookmarked are giving error 404.is there any way so that prevoius url should also work or it should redirect to new url.
thanks.

Hi ashishjha,

The simple answer to this is... YES.

The more complicated question of how depends on the specific details of your site and how you would like the old to interact with the new. Without knowing these (and other) elements there is no real way to point you in a direction, except to see the documentation.

Just adding on to Justin's comments... More information is needed.

There is no need to change the 'real' URLs. So I'm not sure why they return 404.
