I am using filezilla ftp server, unfortunately it seems like it only will accept connections in "active" mode and not passive mode. To my knowledge this is not the norm. Most ftp servers allow "passive mode".

My question, are there any other trusty FTP server programs..? Alternatives to filezilla?

thanks!

let me clarify, I am using Filezilla Ftp server not client. I am able to connect in active mode, but not passive. The reason I want to connect in passive mode is so I can use netdrive.

Im using an airlink 54g router and I can specify ports but I am unsure how to specify port range. In any case, I still would like to connect in passive mode.

Thanks for you help!

in router set
port forwrding
5000 to ip
5001 to ip

in fillzilla
set pass range to
5000-5001

seems to work
