mod deflate

How to?

Where could I learn about implementing mod_deflate, chosing which components needs to be compressed
performance etc..
any tutorial that you know of?

All I had to to was make an extra symlink or two between the enabled and available dirs. Instant 4-fold reduction in most transmitted pages with default settings.
