Apache APXS broken

System: Apache 2.0.59, Fedora 6

I am having problems installing mod_dav.

When I use ./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs/ I receive the error "./configure: line 2156: /usr/sbin/apxs/: Not a directory
configure: error: Your APXS installation is broken and cannot be used."

I've used [uk.php.net...] which is recommended by www.webdav.org/mod_dav/install.html#apxs to fix this kind of problem.

However, after trying to change the lines in /usr/sbin/apxs/ I still get the above error.

Any help will be much appreciated.
