Hi, I have installed a new hard drive and have just tried to install php5 and apache2 on this xp box. Now when ever i load a php script with just phpinfo(); the page loads and refreshed loads etc etc and ends up with a this page cannot be displayed, firefox will load it but the bottom of the page is cut off and some of the characters are weird. Never had this problem before, oh I have uninstalled everything tried php4 and the same thing. Seems to be size related as if I remove the load gd module it loads slowly, found a mention of this bug at php.net but no solution, anyone had this problem and solved it?

Updated to service pack 2 and it fixed it, now to try and fix my wireless problems that sp2 causes.

Glad you found *some* answer... I couldn't think of anything useful to post.

Make sure you've got all the updates for SP2 -- There were some problems that affected loopback IP addresses (127.0.0.nnn) which could cause problems if you were trying to run a local server. These loopback problems were addressed first by a stand-alone patch, and then that patch was included in the later SP2 update roll-ups.

It was a strange one, I have had apache/php running fine without SP2 in the past. All I found was a mention of it at [bugs.php.net...]

Yeah that loopback one also had me for a while, then I remembered your post [webmasterworld.com].
