Just do a simple 301-redirection.
If our site is in Linux server, then we have to create a .htaccess file and upload it in the server.
But, if the site is in Windows server we have to do the change from Server Control Panel.

<snip>

keep few things in mind:

1. The total value of the old URL will transfered to new one,but it will take some time.
2. Don't do anything with the content right now.If you have any plans like that do it after google recognize your new URL.Right now just redirect the URL as it is right now.Otherwise ranking can be effected.
3. Be careful about the 301 code,take advice from a professional.A small mistake in that,can be effective on your site.

Good Luck
