I am wondering if it is common practice to use one instance or a load-balanced instance of Apache to serve up many server-side apps like php, ColdFusion, perl, jsp etc.
We currently set up an instance per backend but are looking to consolidate. We currently run Tomcat, WebLogic, ColdFusion, php, perl, static and some proprietary backends. I am looking for gotchas. Thanks.
