Re-installed Apache...problem

I have re-installed Apache 2.0.53, re-installed php etc...All is well except; when viewing site on /localhost, it displays the page code in the browser and not the actual page...what am I missing?

If you're seeing PHP code, you likely haven't turned on PHP processing for the .php extension; The instructions for doing this are available at [us2.php.net ].
