Simple redirect questions

Forwarding http://mysite.com TO -> http://www.mysite.com

Hi Folks,

I am a newbie here.

I would like to have the site automatically forward:
http://mysite.com -> http://www.mysite.com

Just out of principal and best practice, it'd like to have the redirect setup. I am not sure if it has PageRank implications either, but i have lots of lazy links that point that are setup as: http://mysite.com as opposed to http://www.mysite.com

Anyhelp would be appreciated.
