Simple mod rewrite...

I tried endlessly to find this topic which I presume has been covered 1000x over, but to no avail. So please have mercy on me. ;)

What I want to do is simply move all users who enter my site via mydomain.com to www.mydomain.com. We use several other domains so it needs to be a rule specific to the domain name (mydomain.com in this example).

So for a real world example, I'd like to do this:

[mydomain.com...] -> [mydomain.com...]

I can't find anyway to do this with mod alias, so I assume it's a rewrite possibility.

Any help for a total newb? :) Thanks.
