Hi Everyone and The great JD

Ok i find that someone or something is droping invlid links to our site in the format

www.example.com/deals/htm\ or /deals.htm/

This causes images to not show up, and also a potential duplicate content issue.

I have looked through apache and searched the forum on how to remove the invalid slash but to no avail.

Any help with pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated

Kind regards
Pete

Hi Guys

You could do with an edit link on posts...

Fixed the problem, however the delay was caused by searching for the wrong terms. Which is a common mistake if you do not know the correct buzz words...

I searched for remove trailing slash in all varients invalid ect

When what i should have been looking for was remove directory paths
apended to file names.

This post here should help anyone else, [webmasterworld.com...] Thanks JD

next to each of my posts there is a "owner edit" link under the "user profile" link.
check it out - it works!
