configuring Apache to work with PHP5

i tried to add the line to the configuration file,

LoadModule php5_module "c:/php/php5apache2.dll"
and it does not work. this actually stops the Apache server to start again.

what am i missing here?

You should also be able to test the configuration of Apache and get any error messages returned. They will aid in finding your problem.
