I download the apache-2.0.59-sol10-sparc-local.gz from sunfreware after the Unzip i did the package add, modify the httpd.conf file but when i tried to start apache web server i get this error:
fopen: No such file or directory httpd: could not log pid to file /var/run/apache/httpd.pid
what steps i miss?

Check the installation documentation or procedure that you followed, looking for discussion of "permissions" -- It looks as though the OS or server could not create or open a required PID (Process ID) file in the path you specified.
