Hi

I'm a complete novice with Apache and have downloaded 2.2.3 (windows install) so as to help me run php scripts locally before publishing them to my host server.
I've downloaded the app, got to the 'It Works' screen and followed the directions of this tutorial [devshed.com...]
to configure apache.
This is where it all seems to go wrong, I do get the 'index of' menu with the index.htm file where it should be but ammending the httpd config file as suggested by www.devshed.com, in this instance, it does not resolve the issue.
Then again with the section entitled 'getting php working' i'm not really sure where the 'actions section' of the configuration document is either.
I've set up c:/mysite/documents as suggested and really am just looking for the config file to do exactly as I need it to, does anyone have one already setup?

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a "standard" configuration, but the PHP installation and troubleshooting threads in the WebmasterWorld PHP library [webmasterworld.com] may be helpful to you.
