Testing ssl

Hi,
I'm new to ssl and hosting websites in general. I was wondering how I would go about setting up and testing ssl on my server. I have a sample site set up and am testing it and updating it constantly to learn more. Im stuck on getting the ssl to work. Im running apache 2.0.52 on Max OSX 10.3.8.

Define 'stuck'. What have you tried? What errors (if any) are in your logs? What do you want to happen that isn't happening?
