hi ,somebody has deleted my mod_rewrite ruls in my .htaccess file and now the website <snip> is broken. None of the links work on the site now. I do not have a back copy and im not experienced in mod_rewrite rules so dont know how to do this? I remember that the code was only about 6-7 lines.

Holidays,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

You'll either need to find a backup copy of the rules, or define precisely how they function on your site in order for us to be of any help here.

If you use a 'standard software package' like a blog or php forum, then the sites related to those software packages may be of some help -- If you didn't write the code, where did it come from? Go there to get a new copy.

The next step is to secure your server. Then install the code again and test.
