Kind of a wierd situation. I am currently hosting an FTP server via WS_FTP Server and web server via Apache. Domain name registration was also established with godaddy.com. As of last Friday both my FTP server and Web Server where working perfectly. My family members were able to log into the FTP server to upload pictures and my class mates where able to access my class web server via domain name @ 65.***.33.149. I ended up going out of town Staurday morning and when I tried to access my website from another house I noticed it was getting a "page could not be displayed". I assumed my power may have gone out and my PC just never turned back on. When I finally got home yesterday I saw my PC was still on. Now for some reason I can no longer access my FTP server or web server. No new software has been installed since last time it was working and no changes have been made. I went into my Linksys router setup to check that my port forwarding was still enabled and it sure is. If I go to [localhost...] it is displaying my page correctly so I am assuming it's not Apache. If I try to access my page via [65.***.33.149...] it does not come up. If I ping it from another location it does get a reply. Does anyone have any ideas on what else I should be checking? All firewall software has been disabled for testing at this time so I don't believe that would be an issue.

Thank you in advance for any and all assistance,

OZ

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, dajinn.

The first thing I would check would be to make sure your IP address hasn't changed (router settings, Status area). Do you have a static IP or is it assigned by your ISP at will?

I do have a static IP. I went to [whatismyipaddress.com...] and it is still showing the same ip address.

Is your ISP blocking traffic on port 80 and/or port 23?

How would I be able to determine if my ISP's settings have changed and now block those ports?

Ask them ;)
I guess before that though I would turn on logging at the firewall -- see if your external requests are getting to the router. If so, no need to contact the ISP and you have an issue at the router (configuration or otherwise).
