Allowing ErrorDocument

Not working, for some reason

Hi, my friend and I are running a server, and for some reason, whenever we add an ErrorDocument directive to a .htaccess file, I get a server error from Apache on every file inside the directory. Anybody know why this is happening?

I have AllowOverride set to All in my vhost file.
