I have a customer who has a simple website that is working well.

However, if you drop the www from the URL and view the page with Safari or IE 5 Mac, then no graphics appear. The CSS for the page loads just fine, just not the background-images that are referenced by the CSS. And, only in these Mac browsers, everything works fine on Windows.

It's not a browsers problem, per se. These same browsers have no trouble with similar sites, sans www.

He's running Apache 1.3.34 I'm not positive it's a server issue, but it seems likely. Anyone familiar with this and what can be done to fix it?

Thanks,
Chris Perkins

It was a permissions problem. Got it sorted out.
