Apache 2.2.3 Installation Wizard

I am trying to learn how to use PHP with the 2.2.3 apache web server and I am already getting stuck. I don't really know what I can do to fix it, besides maybe waiting longer.
"Apache HTTP Server 2.2.3 Setup is preparing the Installation Wizard which will guide you through the program setup process. Please wait."

How much longer should I wait? I have restarted my computer already before. Please inform, thanks guys/girls.

If it won't install immediately following a restart, then there's something wrong with either the installer, the packaged executable, or with your OS. It's fairly impossible to tell which, but you might want to get another copy of the installation package and try that, or run some adware/spyware cleaners and a registry clean-up tool, just in case your OS has an externally-induced problem.

This will involve some effort, but may be preferable to my next suggestion, which is to reinstall the OS, apply all patches, and then install Apache on that clean foundation.
