Can anyone help me with editing the apache web server to allow wild cards. Is the only way to access this file thru SSH? I need to edit the one on the web, not on my hard drive.

ya, you'll need root access to your server - usually via SSH if you are in a remote location.
this thread [webmasterworld.com...] touches on where you can find the file on Apache...the msg is about 3/4 the way downt he page.

btw, if you are a reseller for another company, you probably wont have root access (unless your on a dedicated server, you may, and would probably not be asking this q in the first place)....in that case, you will need to talk to your adminstrator....hope that helps
