real-time monitoring software recommendation?

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone can recommend some software for monitoring Apache connections in realtime. Mostly, I'm interested in knowing who's logged in (basic authentication) to a virtual server at any given time. Of course, I can grep the logs, but I thought there might be something a tad more sophisticated out there.

I'd be looking for something that either runs on the host (Ubuntu Dapper), or can run on my workstation (OS X).
