I've installed Apache 2.2 on a new NT server but if pages of the PHP website it is running are requested too fast (by clicking on the href links fast) the Apache server sometimes crashes and sometimes fails to restart. It did give a dll windows pop report the problem to m$ error a few times but I cant replicate that and it also crashes without any windows error.
This is a new quad core machine - one of the cores hits 100% CPU usage before Apache crashes.
Does apache not come with flood protection?
The server also sometimes goes very slow to respond to requests sometimes - with the apache thread not using any CPU time.
Is there an NT optimised exe? Any ideas how to stop these problems?
Cheers,
Andy
