... again!

Hi :-)

I'm new and I've been reading through quite a few "Removal Tool" threads. Now I'm even more confused than before...

What do I do to PERMANENTLY remove one page (not website!) from the Google search listings. The page will NOT be updated - at all. It's just supposed to be gone from the listings.

1) Do I use the Google removal tool?
2) Do I return a 410 error?
3) A 404 error?
4)Someone suggested a 403 (don't know what that is) or a redirect?

If the page DOES return the appropriate page error, can someone else (other than the site owner) request the deletion of an outdated link via the removal tool?

Thank you for your help :-)

You have to register and receive an email before you can use the removal tool.

You can use it to remove just one page but first G. suggests that you simply disallow the page in your robots.txt file. Try that first.
