At work, we have approx. 1000 Apache instances, and roll out roughly 5 a week. However, it's got to the point where things are spiralling out of control, and we don't have a view of all these instances, or a way to manage them all.
Are there any opensource products out there which are designed for handling large apache environments? It would be nice to have a product which allowed you to build and deploy apache instances, then put that into a view where you could see clusters, or single servers, and drill down into their configuration.
I'm interested to hear how other companies deal with this. What products are they using with Apache?
Thanks,
Ed.
