build exception from https redirect without creating loop

I need to take one page from this wordpress site: /singnup/ and stop it from re-directing to the https version (and if it is https redirect it to http). How would I alter the htaccess code to do this?

the redirect response shown is probably the result of mod_dir's DirectorySlash directive which is adding the canonical trailing slash to the requested URL.

Is /pick-an-ebook a real, physical directory? I thought this was all about CMS pseudo-URLs that are "really" just index.php

@phranque I thought that ending the exemption request with the trailing slash might have prevented that.

This is a Wordpress page generated with php as opposed to a physical page. I'll be retrying all the combinations of advice from here tomorrow just in case I made any typos and didn't catch them. I have to keep changing it back to the old file each time the new one throws an error as that is worse than leaving it as is. The ebooks are career guides to steer people towards the correct career course on the site for their talents,income needs, interest and budget. They are written by the site owner from information received from the course author.
