Performance of RedirectMatch instead of Redirect

Hiya,

I am currently trying to figure out if there are any performance concerns that need to be addressed when changing a few "Redirect" directives in your httpd.conf file to "RedirectMatch".

Now that we are using regular expressions - how is site performance affected when the regular expression starts getting complicated.

Thanks in advance for any help!

0xDeadBeef,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

I wouldn't worry about it unless you have Amazon.com-level traffic; The performance hit will be negligible when compared to any other scripts or database operations.

P.S. Fun nickname you've got there; I used to use patterns like that in simple memory testing.
