how come if i try to redirect a .wmv file to a php script like "tracker.php?id=2" it doesnt work?

Redirect /old/file.wmv [mysite.com...]

why wont this work?

If you go to the php file does it "work"? If so post your mod_rewrite code, if not then that's your problem
