Installation problems with Apache 2.0.53 on sun

config script errors

I am very new to apache. I downloaded the .gz file, upcompressed it, untared it and then tried to run ./configure --prefix=/appl/ariba/apache.

When it runs I get the following ouput/errors:

I have the sun compiler installed on the box and the make file location is in the path. What am I missing?
