one mod_rewrite for all virtual servers?

Does each set of rewrite rules need to be copied in each virtualhost?

Hi,

I am putting my .htaccess contents in httpd.conf

It seems to only work within the <VirtualHost></VirtualHost> section

However I have many websites, and want the rule to be applied to all. Pasting the same snippet below 30 times seems *wrong*...

Is there a place in httpd.conf to place this just once to effect all servers? If so, where?

Also if anyone wants to check this for effeciency and errors I would REALLY appreciate it much!

BTW I realize that the image stealing part will have to be virtualhost by virtualhost, it is the rest that is an issue.
