Total newbie here. I've used this excellent forum very helpfully to get Apache webserver V2 running on my win 2000 pro machine (I think). I used "localhost" with the install just so I can get the hang of things. Before I installed V2 I installed 1.3. I have removed this but when I open the Apache moniter icon I see Apache and phpgeek (red light) as well as Apache 2 (green light), both are not working and I have disabled them in the services window. OK... to the question... does apache have some sort of GUI interface? or is everything done through the httpd.conf file? I see the apache message when I go to localhost on my browser. So where do I go from here... I thought there would be an interface or something to look at and play around with before I entered my static IP address and started building. Sorry if this question seems stupid.
Thanks,
Kevin
