Windows 2003 Local ServiceAccount

Changing default startup permissions

Hi there

We have Apache running on a Windows 2003 server. The default service start up account is Local System, however I do not want apache to run with such a powerful account. I would like it to run with the "Local Service" account. However the service will not start under "Local Service."

I have assigned the Local Service account full permissions over the apache folder and over the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Apache registry key.

Can anyone give me any tips on where else to go from here?
